Guam man charged in New York hit-and-run death of rapper s father

A Guam resident who owns an environmental consulting company on island faces criminal charges in New York state after he allegedly was involved in a hit-and-run crash last week that killed rapper Nicki Minaj’s father.
Charles Polevich, 70, faces charges of leaving the scene of an incident and tampering with physical evidence in connection with the death last week of 64-year-old Robert Maraj on New York’s Long Island, according to USA TODAY.
Maraj was struck by a car at 6:15 p.m. Friday while walking along Roslyn Road in Mineola, New York. He was taken to a hospital and was pronounced dead on Saturday.
