WATERBURY Facing decreased demand for the coronavirus vaccine, Waterbury Hospital will close its drive-thru vaccination clinic at Post University on May 26.
The clinic operate three days a week through May 26 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hospital officials said the closure comes after a dramatic drop in COVID-19 vaccine appointments at the site as more vaccine and more options have become available to the public.
Waterbury HEALTH will continue to operate a drive-thru clinic at the Naugatuck Park and Recreation building, the former armory on Rubber Avenue in the borough. Any second-dose vaccines that would have been administered at Post after May 26 will be rescheduled to the Naugatuck drive-thru clinic.
