2020 was a difficult year for most and Winchester Musicals and Opera Society was no different, however there have been plenty bright moments for the society. The year started with a bang with a string of touring concerts, titled The Sound of Musicals which were a huge success in February with the society playing to large audiences in Colden Common, West Meon and Winchester. In March hopes were that the news of Covid-19 would not delay the society’s plans to start rehearsing for their next production Pirates of Penzance, but a few weeks later it was clear that putting on a summer performance would be impossible.
