FAIR HAVEN, Vt. The second half belonged to the Hartford High boys basketball team in a VPA Division II showdown at Fair Haven on Tuesday night. The Hurricanes erased a seven-point halftime deficit to beat the host Slaters, 57-51, in a potential postseason preview.
Hartford’s Brandon Potter drew the assignment of guarding Fair Haven star Kohlby Murray and Potter was more than up to the task, holding Murray to just 13 points. Potter countered that with 13 points of his own to settle that battle at a draw.
