Notre Dame adopting mobile ticketing for athletic events By: Maura Johnson
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – The Notre Dame Athletics Department has announced they will transition to mobile ticketing for athletic events beginning this fall.
This new way of ticketing means a more secure, flexible, and safe way to monitor your tickets before and during game day.
“Mobile ticketing has been fully adopted by our students the past several years for football and men’s basketball games and most recently by members of our faculty and staff,” said Associate Athletics Director (ticketing and marketing) Brian Pracht. “We are confident that all of our fans will find this experience to be user-friendly, efficient and safe. Furthermore, the flexibility of mobile ticketing will allow Fighting Irish fans to manage their tickets anytime and anywhere.”

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame rowing team is honoring the Notre Dame Athletics Department with the design of their new racing shell.
The 2020 Hudson USP, named “2020 Vision” by the 2021 senior rowing class, has the name of every Notre Dame Athletics Department employee, as of January 2021, printed on its exterior.
“We wanted to honor the hard work, determination and support we have received from the entire athletic department throughout the challenge of the past year,” head rowing coach Martin Stone said. “No one on our team is any more important than one of the names on the side of the boat. They have all played a role in our ability to return to competition and they will race with us the rest of the season.”

Will we see another close battle between the Irish and Orange on Saturday afternoon? Three of the last four meetings between Notre Dame and Syracuse have been decided by two or less points. Two of them memorable Irish victories: a 51-49 defensive slugfest at the Carrier Dome in 2018 (the Irish were without two starters in that contest) and an 88-87 offensive thriller in the Dome last season. The Orange edged the Irish in Purcell Pavilion last season by two points as well.

In its eighth season in the ACC, Notre Dame has failed to finish .500 or above in the month of February just once (2018-19) – including 6-2 last season – and the second month of the year as keyed some memorable rises in the league standings. See page 4 for more details.
