CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) Nevada s top election official announced Tuesday that her staff had found far fewer complaints of alleged election fraud than state GOP leaders had claimed there were after her office processed election materials delivered to the capital on March 4.
Republican Party Chair Michael McDonald said the four boxes that he and other Republican leaders hand-delivered for investigation contained proof of more than 120,000 instances of voter fraud that called into question the integrity of the 2020 election in the western swing state. But Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske s review found only 3,963 Election Integrity Violation reports submitted in McDonald s name or less than one-third of the documents he claimed to have delivered.

RENO, Nev. (AP) Land management officials in Nevada have announced a federal agency is closing sections of public land in Washoe and Lyon counties to overnight camping because people are violating the 14-day camping limit.
The Bureau of Land Management, known as BLM, said areas of Golden and Sun valleys near Chimney Drive and an area off State Route 50 will be closed starting April 1, The Reno Gazette-Journal reported Wednesday. The locations will remain open for day use and hiking.
Carson City District Manager Ken Collum said both of areas have had more people living in unofficial camps for extended periods, negatively impacting people who want to use the land.

WASHINGTON - The acting chief of the U.S. Capitol Police warned lawmakers Thursday that militia members involved in the Jan. 6 riot want to blow up the Capitol and kill as many members as possible during President Joe Biden s first congressional address.
The stark warning about another potential threat to Congress - which has not been corroborated by other law enforcement agencies - comes as a date for Biden s first address on Capitol Hill has not been set. New presidents typically deliver a speech to a joint session of Congress in February.
