Thousands nabbed as QC authorities launch operation vs health protocol violators

Published May 12, 2021, 2:05 PM Thousands of people were apprehended and fined by personnel of the Quezon City government and police on Wednesday for violating health safety measures, including those who were not wearing face shields and those who supposedly took off their mask to wipe sweat from their face. As of noontime, the local government said, around 3,200 individuals were already brought to the Quezon Memorial Circle after authorities launched a “One Time Big Time Operation” against violators which started around 8 a.m. Quezon City LGU They were issued Ordinance Violation Receipt (OVR) worth P300. A day before the operation, at least 1.2 million face masks and 300,000 face shields were already distributed to indigent residents, including vendors and drivers, of the city’s 142 barangays.

Abra HPG strictly implements traffic rules for road safety Philippine Information Agency 04 May 2021, 04:38 GMT+10 BANGUED, Abra, May 3 (PIA) The Provincial Highway Patrol Group (HPG) accosted 30 motorcycles and seven motor vehicles due to various traffic rules violations during the One Time-Big Time (OTBT) Oplan Lambat Sibat Sasakyan operation last week. Led by PMAJ Maria Alicia Valera, the team has been actively enforcing traffic laws for the welfare and safety of everyone especially the motoring public. During the OTBT, the team held checkpoints in Brgy. Ubbog and in Brgy. Patucannay, the main entry points to the capital town of Bangued. Among the violations were driving without license, no helmet, motorcycle without plate number, riders wearing slippers, motorcycles with no side mirrors, delinquent registrations and number coding.
