Stoutenborough joins Madison County Board

Stoutenborough was unanimously approved at Wednesday’s meeting, and will be sworn in later.
Dodd, 77, died March 10. He had been in poor health for several years, and had not attended any County Board meetings since spring 2017.
Dodd was first elected to the County Board in 2012. Prior to that he had served as an Alton alderman for the 6th Ward from April 1981 to March 1997. He was also the owner and operator of Jim’s Mobil.
Madison County Board Chairman Kurt Prenzler had 60 days to appoint a new board member. The new appointment was required to be a Democrat.
