Community Blood Center needs more donors at NCH North Naples campus

Community Blood Center said Wednesday it is in need of more blood donors in Collier County.
According to the press release, blood is needed, “to quickly replenish seriously low blood product inventories. All types are needed.”
The shortage is based on a decline in donor visitation as well as the center’s constant need for blood by area patients.
Anyone interested in becoming a donor can visit Community Blood Center-Donor Center at 11190 Health Park Blvd at the NCH North Naples Hospital campus near the Brookdale entrance.

Pour la première fois, l entreprise Carmat créée en 2008 a vendu un exemplaire de son coeur artificiel total: commercialisé sous la marque Aeson, il a été implanté sur un patient en Italie afin de servir de relais dans l attente d une greffe, une étape importante annoncée lundi par la medtech française, qui faisait s envoler son action en Bourse.
Cette implantation a été réalisée par l’équipe du Dr Ciro Maiello, chirurgien cardiaque au centre hospitalier de Naples, l un des centres bénéficiant de la plus grande expérience en matière de cœurs artificiels en Italie , affirme la société dans un communiqué.
