Early voting on a $13.585 million bond proposition brought out 3,496 Wichitans.
Bond approval would build and buy equipment for athletic and recreational facilities for the district s two new high schools to be completed in fall 2024.
This is the second time the district has tried to pass a bond for sports and recreational facilities, with an effort in November failing.
Election Day will be 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Saturday at the following locations.

As early voting on a $13.585 million bond proposition wound into its final hours Tuesday, 2,683 Wichitans had cast ballots, according to school district officials.
The bond was proposed to build and buy equipment for athletic and recreational facilities for the district s two new high schools slated for completion in fall 2024.
The proposal brought brisk support and opposition after the school district decided to float it to voters in February. This is the second time the district has tried to pass a bond for sports and recreational facilities. Voters approved a $276.415 million issuance to built a pair of new high schools in November but turned thumbs down on the accessories.

What Lee Zeldin did to us, his constituency, should not be forgotten.
He has been and continues to be totally out of sync with democracy and the Constitution he swore to uphold.
He has continuously voted against liberal causes for which he continues to supply disinformation. What is he doing by helping to destroy our country? Is it only power he seeks?
Yes, I appreciate his advocacy for local issues, but isn’t that just the job that he was elected to do?
I plead with voters to find a strong candidate to oppose him in 2022. I will personally do everything I can to organize voters who oppose his unforgivable allegiance to the most extreme voices in his party.
