New administrative building of PCMC will be near Auto Cluster

On deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar’s instructions, the administrative building of
Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (
Chinchwad, off Mumbai-Pune Highway, and not at near Nehru Nagar as earlier considered.
Standing committee chairman Nitin Landge said, “The new stateof-the-art 13-storeyed building will be constructed on a reserved plot near of seven acres;
Sunil Patil and Associates have been selected as the consultants for the construction.”
While government-owned pharma companies are ailing from years of neglect, some have rolled up their sleeves and joined Indias uphill battle against Covid, with plans to manufacture drugs that are used for treatment of Covid-19 patients or to produce vaccines that can shield people from the dreaded SARS-CoV-2 virus.
The government has decided to close two pharma public sector undertakings and disinvest the other three, Parliament was informed on Tuesday. The Department of Pharmaceuticals has five public sector undertakings (PSUs). Out of the five PSUs, the government has taken a decision to close two pharma PSUs, namely Indian Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Ltd (IDPL) and Rajasthan Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Ltd (RDPL), Minister ofChemicals and Fertilisers D V Sadananda Gowda said in response to a question in the Lok Sabha. The government has also decided to strategically disinvestthe other three Hindustan Antibiotics Ltd (HAL), Bengal Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd (BCPL), and Karnataka Antibiotics & Pharmaceutical Ltd (KAPL), he added.
