A survey of churches in Scotland found nearly all those who responded offered online worship during the first coronavirus lockdown and more than one in eight plans to continue.
A total of 369 congregational leaders from 27 different denominations across Scotland responded to the study and, of these, 96% said they provided online worship during the first lockdown last year, when places of worship were closed.

A clergyman using lockdown to broadcast services in remote locations said it has been “amazing” to reach a worldwide audience.
Rev Neil Glover is the minister at Aberfeldy Church in Perthshire, which is linked with the nearby towns of Dull and Weem as well as Grandtully, Logierait and Strathtay.
Lockdown measures have prevented Mr Glover from delivering sermons in front of the congregation – and have instead presented an opportunity to show off the Perth and Kinross countryside.

He and colleagues have been recording services and uploading them to a YouTube channel, reaching people as far away as North America.

Dorset criminals jailed in January: Emiljan Gjelaj, Viktor Lastovka, Thomas Harmer, Kevin Appleby, Robert Shapland-Hill, Neil Glover and Connor Beckett CRIMINALS jailed in January for Dorset offences include an armed rapist, a knife attacker and a drink driver who caused serious injuries to a police officer. The courts are continuing to operate and deal with cases, including jury trials, despite the current Covid locdown. The list below includes some of the offenders that were put behind bars by judges this month. Their combined sentences totalled 52 years and 10 months in jail although some of them could be released on licence part way through their terms of imprisonment.
