Telangana CM asks officials to invite tenders for lift irrigation schemes ANI | Updated: May 26, 2021 08:45 IST
Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], May 26 (ANI): Ahead of the approaching monsoon season, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has instructed the officials to complete estimates for all the Lift Irrigation Schemes proposed from Devarakonda to Kodad under Nagarjuna Sagar Left Canal jurisdiction by June 15.
As per the Chief Minister s Office, Rao asked the Irrigation department officials to prepare estimates for each Lift separately and invite tenders for all of them at one time.
At a review meeting with irrigation officials, the Chief Minister also gave a go-ahead for tendering for 15 lift irrigation schemes that he announced ahead of the Nagarjunasagar Assembly bypolls.

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) for a $6.53 million grant for the rehabilitation and improvement of some irrigation systems in the country.
The Minister of Food and Agriculture, Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto, signed on behalf of the ministry, while the Country Director of KOICA, Mr Mooheon Kong, signed on behalf of the agency.
