A 90-year-old Benton County man was among six new COVID-19-related deaths around the state reported Wednesday by the Oregon Health Authority. The man, whose name was not released, tested positive on April 16 and died Monday at his residence, OHA said in a news release. He reportedly had underlying health conditions. The other victims ranged in age from 42 to 82, with one in Douglas County and two each in Jackson and Multnomah. The latest fatalities brought the stateâs death toll from COVID-19 to 2,466 since the start of the pandemic. Benton County has now recorded 19 deaths attributed to the disease, while neighboring Linn has tallied 63. ....

Oct 18, 1953 Jan 18, 2021 Constance Marie Whorton, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away on January 18, 2021 at the age of 67. She was born on October 18, 1953 in Florence, New Jersey to parents Lardner Clark Boyd Jr. and Constance Patricia Mcloughlin. She graduated from Florence TWP Memorial High school in 1971. Connie was always known to be a vibrant and funny woman who lit up the room. She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Widner College in 1975. She joined the US Airforce in April of 1976. While stationed in Greece she met her husband Jonathan Whorton who was a medication tech and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor. Constance and Jonathan Whorton were happily married on December 8, 1979 and had two children Constance and Jonathan. Connie obtained a master’s of science degree in critical care from the University of Maryland in 1990. She was one of only 3 women selected to attend Air War college in Alabama and graduated in 1994 with a 4.0 grade point ....
Sept. 19, 1932-Dec. 25, 2020 On Christmas night of 2020, Ray O Neill went quietly to the Lord from Butte, Montana, at the Springs Memory Care Unit. Ray battled against diabetes, later dementia, and finally COVID-19. He called Butte, MT, his home for 88 years. Born the first son of Jerry O Neill and Alma Pankey on Sept. 19, 1932, he shared a great life with his two brothers, Jerry and Jim. His sister, Sharon, later joined the family, and was much loved by the three older brothers. Joining the Navy in 1952, he was trained in and fell in love with photography, which became a lifelong passion. His service involved recording on film the early stages and development of Polaris missiles. After the Navy, he returned to Butte to work in camera shops, work on projects for his mother, and had the good fortune to go on a date with a young nursing student from Drummond, MT, â Wilma Enman.
