ORLANDO, Fla. â A retired engineer who spent seven years in guardianship after being diagnosed with frontal lobe dementia has had all his rights restored by a judge who found no evidence he âlacks the capacity to make his own decisions and care for himself.â
A different judge determined Doug Keegan was incapacitated, stripped away his rights and put him under the care of a professional guardian in 2014.

ORLANDO, Fla. – A hearing will be held in the second murder trial against convicted killer Markeith Loyd, who is accused of killing Orlando police Lt. Debra Clayton.
According to a court filing, the hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Monday, when Judge Leticia Marques will take up a motion to discuss the appointment of counsel, assistants and other staff in Loyd’s case, as well as the method of payment for them, per Florida statutes 27.40 and 27.5303.
