Gunman who shot at Bolton house has jail sentence reduced

Lewis Sinclair A GUNMAN who shot at a house in Bolton has had his 12-year jail sentence reduced. Earlier this month Lewis Sinclair was jailed for 12 years, plus 27 months on licence, for conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and a separate offence of burgling David Lloyd gyms. Sinclair, aged 39, of Hazel Walk, Partington, let off six rounds into the windows and doors of a terraced house in Hilden Street, The Haulgh on September 9, 2019 as part on an ongoing feud between drugs gangs. But at Bolton Crown Court Mark Friend, defending, asked the Honorary Recorder of Bolton, Judge Martin Walsh, to review the sentence, suggesting not enough discount had been given for Sinclair s early guilty plea for the burglaries.

Burglary gang tried to raid Lostock homes

Daniel Daniels and Pendennis Avenue A BURGLARY gang who spent a night unsuccessfully targetting houses in Lostock was caught after eagle eyed residents called police. While Rebecca Moody acted as lookout, Daniel Daniels, Ryan Daniels and Liam Williams went around properties in Pendennis Avenue and Lomond Place, Ladybridge, trying house door handles and cars. At their sentencing hearing at Bolton Crown Court John Richards, prosecuting, told how police received phone calls from residents on July 8, 2019. Concerns were expressed that a group were loitering on the street, trying the doors of houses and cars, said Mr Richards. At around 2am police found the gang nearby on Rumworth Road. Williams had a glove and a face covering and Moody also had gloves and two keys on her.

Glass thug jailed after attack on woman in nightclub

Cameron Jones and Shots bar A THUG who hurled a glass at a woman’s head in a Bolton nightclub, badly cutting her, has been jailed for eight years and six months. At Bolton Crown Court violent Cameron Jones admitting causing grievous bodily harm and involvement in a separate major drugs conspiracy. At an earlier hearing Philip Barnes, prosecuting told how the victim, Alexandra Lowrey and her friends Natasha Eckersley and Tara Smith had gone to Bolton town centre for a night out on May 29, 2019. After visiting one pub they ended up at the Shots bar on Bradshawgate where they ordered drinks and headed for the dance floor.
