Prior to “Fake News” and slanted news channels on television in the modern era there were also rumors about the paternity of the 16
th President of the United States Abraham Lincoln, who has historically been credited with saving the country through his support of the Union in the Civil War (War to Suppress the Rebellious) and that his father was not Thomas Lincoln but was Abram Enloe.
The origin of the paternity story started in articles in the September 10 and 17, 1893 editions of the newspaper Charlotte Observer. After it got circulated several other Western North Carolina writers perpetuated the myth.

US Department Of Justice: Former Natural Gas Trader Pleads Guilty For Role In Commodities Insider Trading Scheme Date

A former natural gas trader pleaded guilty today to conspiracy to commit commodities fraud and wire fraud for his role in an insider trading scheme.
John Ed James, 51, of Katy, Texas, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit commodities fraud and wire fraud before U.S. District Judge Vanessa Gilmore of the Southern District of Texas. Sentencing has been scheduled for April 26, 2021, before Judge Gilmore.
“When individuals engage in deceptive trade practices and manipulate the commodities market for their personal gain, they undermine the public’s confidence in the U.S. markets and stack the deck against other traders and investors,” said Acting Assistant Attorney General Nicholas L.
