The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at the district administration building, 1818 W. Worley St.
People from Cooperative Strategies, contracted by the school district, will present options for elementary boundaries starting in August 2022. District Chief Operations Officer Randy Gooch provided background last week to the school board s Long Range Facilities Planning Committee. This is going to be an important meeting, Gooch said.
The school board paused work on redrawing the elementary boundaries during the pandemic.
More immediately, there will be a proposal for the crowded Parkade Elementary School, to start in August 2021 at the beginning of the 2021-22 school year.
Following Monday, three sessions at schools to provide feedback on the options will be held from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The Tuesday session will be at Gentry Middle School; Wednesday at Jefferson Middle School; and Thursday at Lange Middle School.

Teresa Maledy is the only incumbent running for the CPS Board of Education. Maledy has 40 years of experience in public banking. She has served as the chair of the district’s finance committee for two years. She also has served as the chair of the Long Range Facilities Planning Committee
Maledy said her main focuses are closing the achievement gap, maintaining quality teachers and ensuring the community’s confidence, trust and consistent financial support.
