Following the end of the disappointing 2019 season, a number of University of Alabama football players had the option of going pro early or sticking around for their final year of eligibility.
Granted, that s become pretty normal for the Crimson Tide under Nick Saban, but time it was different.

When a college football team hires a new head coach, optimism for the long-term future of the program typically rises. The immediate future, however, is not always so rosy.
Since the 2020 season ended, 15 schools in the Football Bowl Subdivision have brought in a new head coach. Although a few programs may contend for a conference championship in 2021, most of them needed a change for competitive reasons anyway.
Rather than predicting a win-loss record, we ve organized the first-year coaches based on four tiers of expectations.
Each placement is subjective but considers the team s recent performance, returning production and 2021 schedule.

At 4:15 p.m. ET on Saturday No. 24 San Jose State will take on 5-1 Boise State in the Mountain West Championship Game. The Spartans have been one of the bigger surprises in college football this season but can they pull off the upset versus the Broncos?

Boise State sophomore RB George Holani (knee) is expected to play against San Jose State this Saturday. Holani (5 11/206) who was already wearing a brace on his left knee, came up holding his leg after a rushing attempt during the third quarter versus Wyoming on Saturday. And while the sophomore was cleared to play, he was a question mark during the week and did not look to be completely healthy while on the field pre-injury. In the upside-down world that is the 2020 college football season, the Boise State Broncos give us some semblance of normalcy, as they return to the Mountain West title game for the fourth consecutive year.
The Broncos will try to secure their third conference title in four years when they take on the undefeated San Jose State Spartans, who are looking for their first Mountain West title in program history.
