Monroe College Launches Institute for Civic Engagement and Social Justice to Provide Civics Education, Social Justice Programming, Mentorship and Community Outreach

Bronx community leader Michael Blake will help lead the Institute as the College’s newly appointed Visiting Social Justice and Civics Fellow. The Institute s first program, a semester-long dual enrollment course on civics and social justice, starts today for more than 200 Bronx high school students from approximately 30 local high schools.

Miami, FL, Jan. 21, 2021 – For the second consecutive year,
Miami Dade College’s (MDC)
Koubek Center and the
Madrid Human Rights Film Festival from
Jan. 26-30. Due to the pandemic,
this edition of the Festival will be offered online and is free and open to the public.
All movies are in Spanish with English subtitles.
