Council investigating ‘serious allegations’ against Derry community centre management Reporter: );   ); An investigation has been launched to establish the validity of ‘serious allegations’ made about the running of community services in the Rosemount area of Derry. Staff from Rosemount Resource Centre have written a letter of no confidence to Derry City & Strabane District Council which questions the suitability of a ‘new management committee’. Ten workers who signed the no confidence letter say they have provided a collective 180 years’ service to the local community. A list of grievances and concerns are laid out in the letter over two and a half pages.

Derry trade unionists launch survey with aim of improving working conditions Members of DTUC launching the survey in Brooke Park Reporter: );   ); Derry Trades Union Council (DTUC) has launched a local workers survey and has encouraged workers across the council area to complete it in order to build better workplaces. Chair of DTUC, Niall McCarroll, says that as a working class movement DTUC has provided a voice for workers and social justice campaigns. It aims to further reach out with the launch of a local workers survey, as it extends its solidarity with the people of Derry and District demanding an end to the many hardships which workers and their families experience and have experienced for far too long .

Winning projects Air quality A digital model was produced that analysed the impact of air quality and social factors, both in Italy and the US, on COVID-19 infection rates. Their model demonstrated that if the Air Quality Index could be reduced by 2%, in the long-term, then infection rates would decrease by between 4-5%.
