(WVIR) - The Virginia Tech football team has voted to decline any potential bowl bids this year, which ends the Hokiesâ postseason streak at 27 consecutive bowls. Techâs run of success from 1993-2019 was the longest-active bowl streak in the nation, and the fourth-longest all-time. âI think it speaks to the difficulty of the season that theyâve been through,â says Fuente. âThere were players that wanted to play. They were passionate about that. But we were going to do this all-together, or not. This was ultimately about our kids, and I think theyâve sacrificed enough.â ....
