The riverside Peshwa tomb gets a facelift

Pune Municipal Corporation (
PMC) has acted swiftly to get rid of the rubbish thrown around the place in the Mutha riverbed on Monday.
The entire premises of the historic monument had turned into a neglected dumping yard, but on Monday, PMC workers cleaned up the area, cleaning the debris and waste dumped at the tomb located in the heart of the city.
A few years back, the civic body had carried out restoration work on the site, with an eye on beautification of the surroundings of the historic monument.
