Confían hoteleros repunte de turistas

Rioverde.- En estas vacaciones de Verano, se espera gran afluencia de turistas y por ende un repunte en la ocupación hotelera, dijo el director del Instituto Municipal de Arte y Cultura (IMAC) José Antonio Loredo Juárez.
Mencionó que los paisanos normalmente viajan en esta temporada de Verano, ya se ve movimiento en el Municipio, por lo que se espera un repunte en la ocupación hotelera que ha sido afectado por un año por la pandemia del Covid.
Se espera que para los meses de julio y agosto reactivar los parajes turísticos, hasta el momento están abiertos la Media Luna y San Sebastián.

MOULTRIE, Ga.- Colquitt County Drug Enforcement Team along with United States Marshals and Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested a suspect in an assault and robbery case.
DET investigators Justin Searcy and Ivon Folsom were requested to assist state and federal agencies in apprehending Anterrio Merritt of Lenox Thursday afternoon at the Hope Hotel in Lenox, Searcy said.
Law enforcement personnel were executing five warrants obtained by 1st Sgt. Justin Lindsay of the Moultrie Police Department in connection with âincidents within the city of Moultrie.â
The charges are aggravated assault, armed robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and theft by taking, authorities said.
They say the seafront would have been packed with people at the time of the incident. A spokesman for Southend CID said: The seafront would have been very busy at the time and we would like to locate witnesses who may be able to identify the people involved in the incidents. “The men were just trying to help a young woman, who was outnumbered and being violently attacked, and had been enjoying a visit on the beach at Southend with their young families.” Anyone who has footage of the incident or has information on it should submit a report online at www.essex.police.uk or use the Live Chat button to speak to an online operator between 7am-11pm.
