The Woodland Pub on Liverpool Road is the venue for the independent market. It takes places on Saturday and the impressive lineup for May includes 55 local artisans and small independent producers. Lisa Cowley, one of the organisers said: It is fast becoming a fixed date in everyone s diaries. Working alongside the Great Sankey Parish Council and showcasing local community groups such as The Animal Welfare Charity we can t wait to be back. There will be local pie producers (we know Warrington loves its pies) street food, epic cakes, tasty treats, local gin sellers, awesome ice cream, deli, handcrafted jewellery, arts, craft plants and summer hanging baskets and more.
GREAT Sankey Market is returning after a successful launch at Christmas. Following the government s easing of lockdown restrictions, the pop-up artisan market with a focus on food and crafts made by independent traders will be back at The Woodlands pub in Liverpool Road on Saturday, April 17. There will also be arts, handmade gift ideas, craft alcohol, ceramics, jewellery, pet products, home decor items and candles and wax melts. The dog friendly outdoor event will then be monthly every third Saturday with free entry. There will be around 50 stalls. Great Sankey Market is hosted by Independent Street which champions and provides a platform for independent businesses and producers in the area.
