Optus has released an ‘It starts with yes’ campaign featuring Olympian Ian Thorpe, and Paralympians Madi de Rozario and Ellie Cole via TBWA Sydney.
The 15 second spots feature each athlete telling a story on why they did not give up on their dreams. The spots end with Optus’ brand positioning, ‘It starts with yes’, which was introduced in July 2020.

THE Evans Head Fishing Classic kicked off on Friday June 25 with a good crowd attending the briefing at Evans Head RSL, catching up after a hiatus through 2020 due to Covid-19. The 2021 competition saw a record number of participants with over the 700 anglers.
Saturday morning greeted competitors with threatening skies, but a few drops were not enough to put off the competitors. Saturday was also the first day of the Junior and Cadets two-day expression session. 111 juniors and 86 cadets signed up for the kids comp chasing key species: bream, whiting and flathead.

The Great Northern Great Outdoors National Survey found Coast locals had nominated their own backyard, the Sunshine Coast and Noosa region, as well as the Whitsundays and Far North Queensland as their top holiday spots. Sixty-three per cent of Coast locals that took part in the survey committed to holiday locally even once international borders reopened. Great Northern Brewing Co general manager Ian Giles said the survey results showed the difficulties of the pandemic throughout last year had inspired Australians to immerse themselves in their own country.
