The Press s latest edition of the York Top 100 Business Report, published in the paper today, showcases the city s biggest success stories. This annual report was produced by The Press, York St John University s Business School and Make it York to showcase a definitive and comprehensive list of York s most significant employers. The Top 100 was collated using an algorithm devised by York Business School, taking into account key performance factors such as turnover, profit, growth, and staff numbers. Topping the list is Pavers Shoes, which was founded in York in 1971 by Catherine Paver and has grown significantly, now employing 1,650 people.
