Manitoba has reached several vaccine milestones this week, according to the province’s implementation task force co-lead, Johanu Botha.

That includes activating the distribution model and pop-up clinics in rural areas. Our goal is to be able to give 1.5 million doses of vaccine by the end of the second quarter, the second quarter beginning on April 1 and lasting for three months. To achieve that, our daily maximum capacity has to be 20,000 doses, said Botha.
The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 3.8 per cent provincially and 2.9 per cent in Winnipeg. As of 9:30am on March 10, 2021, 77 new cases of the virus have been identified. However, six cases have been removed due to data correction. This brings the net-new number of cases today to 71 and the total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba to 32,421.
