Power was restored by Monday morning for all residents serviced by Salt River Project and Arizona Public Service following the weekend s monsoon storms, while some businesses and Gila River Indian Community residents were still in the dark as of Monday afternoon.
Over 100,000 Arizonans lost power at some point over the weekend due to the storms.
SRP alone said they saw 91,664 customers affected in 270 outages
from storms Friday to Sunday. The majority of those impacted were from the Saturday storm leaving 51,185 customers affected. APS said 14,000 customers lost power due to Saturday s storm, but it was not clear how many did on Friday, too.
