Downtown Rochester is extending its holiday event offerings until the end of January.
The Big, Bright Light Show will remain in place throughout Rochesterâs downtown until Sunday, Jan. 31. The lights can be seen on Main Street every night from 5 p.m. to midnight.
In mid-January the Rochester Downtown Development Authority will host a Snowglow event featuring ice sculptures and live ice carving demonstrations. Some of this yearâs sculptures include Buddy The Elf from the movie âElf,â Frosty the Snowman and the Christmas vacation station wagon from âNational Lampoon s Christmas Vacation.â

Snowglow, presented by T-Mobile, will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15 and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16. An ice carving competition will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on West Fourth Street that Saturday.
