Thursday night’s ACC Network overtime game did what was anticipated, and that’s establish who is No. 1
Duke emerged from that and takes most of the first-place votes this week. Maryland is right behind and has five first-placed votes, and North Carolina is still third the tier that’s been leading the charge all year remaining in tact.
An ACC team is next, but it’s Notre Dame this week, rising to No. 4 after drubbing Syracuse in the Carrier Dome. Syracuse fell to No. 9. With Virginia at 6, all ACC teams still remain in the Top 10.
