The money comes from an already established department fund that was created approximately 10 years ago when an officer left Rockland PD and joined another agency. Thursday, October 1, 2015 February 10, 2021 update: The McLain School Building will be turned over to the City of Rockland on Dec. 31, 2022. RSU 13 provided this date during a Monday, Feb. 8 meeting attended by councilors Sarah Austin and Nate Davis, City Manager Tom Luttrell, Supt. John McDonald, RSU 13 Business Manager Peter Orne, School Board Chair Loren Andrews, and Vice Chair Tom Peaco. According to Luttrell, during the February Rockland City Council meeting later that day, the school district gave the 2022 date with a feeling of confidence that they’ll be able turn the building over at that time.
