Bermuda National Gallery Reopens Today
The Bermuda National Gallery (BNG) has entered phase 2 of its reopening today. Situated in the heart of Hamilton, Bermuda, in the City Hall & Arts Centre (17 Church Street, 2
nd floor), the BNG houses Bermuda’s national art collection and connects the island’s community through art, culture and dialogue.
Open Tuesday – Friday from 10:00am to 3:00pm and Saturday from 10:00am to 2:00pm, the gallery has just announced the following three exhibitions currently on display:
Examining our relationship with the natural world through three distinct lenses: realism, depth and space; atmosphere, colour and light; shape, line and form, Illusion and Abstraction looks at the ways in which artists have both faithfully translated and refracted the landscape.

Driven by an exploration of her own ancestral heritage, in this exhibition the former Biennial artist examines the lasting impacts of slavery; re-imagining the identities of enslaved Bermudians in a series of striking portraits, installation and text inspired by historic photographs discovered in the Bermuda Archives.
Live musical theater returns in Colorado

LITTLETON, Colo. Town Hall Arts Center has announced the return of live musical theater to its historic downtown Littleton theater. You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, the first live production for the theater since last year, brings the beloved “Peanuts” comic to life in as a classic musical.
The musical will open Friday, March 19 and run through Sunday, April 18.
Town Hall Arts Center will keep patrons, artists and staff safe with health protocols including mandatory mask requirements, temperature checks and social distancing.
For the performing arts in Vermont, 2020 was the year that wasnât. Yet the COVID-19 pandemic revealed many arts organizationsâ ability to redefine themselves â and for others it meant a complete shutdown.
January began optimistically with a splendid performance by the Montpelier Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Anne Decker, of Menottiâs Christmas opera, âAmahl and the Night Visitorsâ at City Hall Arts Center. The Spice on Snow traditional music festival celebrated its 10th year, also in the capital.
Vermont Stage, the Burlington professional theater, mounted excellent productions of âRelativity,â by Mark St. Germain â in which Ron Crawford became Albert Einstein â and âMarie and Rosetta,â the rockinâ gospel of Sister Rosetta Tharpe.
