In his letter, Ghadge claimed that there is a threat to him and his family from the accused, and demanded armed police protection for himself as well as for his family. Ghadge has marked his letter to the Chief Minister, Home Minister and state Director General of Police, a copy of which is with the Free Press Journal. Ghadge who is presently attached with Akola police control room refused to speak. ....
Maharashtra Police Files FIR Against Param Bir Singh Under Slew Of Sections Including SC-ST Atrocity Act by Swarajya Staff - Apr 30, 2021 06:46 AM Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh Maharashtra Police has filed an FIR against Former Mumbai Commissioner Param Bir Singh after a cop levelled allegations of corruption against him. The FIR has been registered in Vidharbha s Akola against Singh, DCP Parag Manere and 31 other policemen. The City Kotwali police in Akola have applied a total of 27 sections against the accused persons. The various sections under which the FIR has been registered against the police personnel include criminal conspiracy, destruction of evidence and sections of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities Act), 1989. ....

The incident took place in Chhoti Gudkari locality under the limits of the City Kotwali police circle. The deceased include a couple and their two sons and a daughter. District magistrate Mirzapur Praveen Kumar Laxar and SP Ajay Kumar Singh, who camped at the incident site to monitor the rescue operation said, The rescuers including the police and firefighters initially recovered the bodies of Shubham, 22, Saurabh, 18, Sandhya, 20, and their mother Gudia, 48. Hours later, the body of the husband, Uma Shankar, 50, was also taken out from the debris and all bodies have been sent for post mortem. ....

District magistrate Mirzapur Praveen Kumar Laxkra and SP Ajay Kumar Singh, who camped at incident site to monitor rescue operation said, “The rescuers including police and fire fighters initially recovered the bodies of Shubham (22), Saurabh (18), Sandhya (20) and their mother Gudia (48). After exercising hard for several hours the body of Gudia’s husband Umashankar (50) was also rescued and sent for postmortem examination.” ....
