Voters OK school budgets in RSU 21, Sanford, Wells-Ogunquit CSD

The proposed Fiscal Year 2022 budget for RSU 21 made the grade with voters in all three communities that comprise the district, according to the unofficial results provided by town clerks on Tuesday evening.
In Kennebunk, voters approved the $52.9 million budget, 1,424-657. In Kennebunkport, voters did the same, 852-332. In Arundel, voters OK’d the budget, 211-66.
As approved, taxpayers in RSU 21 will shoulder $45.2 million of the budget’s burden in taxes: In Arundel, the assessment would mean a rate of $1,686.12 per $100,000 of property valuation for taxpayers, an increase of 0.78% from the current fiscal year.
