Thanks to the annual Django Reinhardt Festival, as a twelve-year-old, Aimée got hooked by the joyous rhythms of Manouche jazz. She spent her teen years playing music live, first in Paris s clubs and cafes, then weekly at New York s Birdland Jazz Club during her years as a music student at SUNY Purchase. Aimée went on to win the Montreux Jazz Festival and Sarah Vaughan Jazz Competitions and immersed herself in New York s jazz and theater scenes. After ten years there, she moved south to The Big Easy.
