Doha Institute for Graduate Studies accepts 244 students for Fall 2021  02 May 2021 - 18:46 The Peninsula Doha: The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) has accepted 244 students from more than 10,000 applications worldwide for 2021 Fall semester. Qatar is on top of the list of admitted students with a total number of 82 Qatari students, 33% of the students admitted.  The admitted students will enroll in 17 master’s programmes. 175 students were admitted to the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, and 69 students to the School of Public Administration and Development Economics. All applications for admission to the DI’s programmes were subject to a thorough examination and assessment, which included interviews conducted with DI professors. The students were selected based on their academic achievements in their undergraduate studies, proficiency in Arabic and English, knowledge in the area of specialization, and contribution to the service of their community.

The continuation of highly engaging sessions which kicked off late last year, The Visual Arts Studies Third Annual Conference 2020-2021 titled “The Future Museum in the Future City” will be streamed via Zoom from April 25 to 27. “In this edition of the conference, we look at the implications of the current pandemic on the futures of museums and cities. We expect the conference to be an open platform for a discussion of the questions concerning the various potential scenarios that are likely to come upon us in the foreseeable future,” wrote Qatar Museums in an e-mail to its Culture Pass members.
