Military Remote Digital Tower USA completes Systems Operation Verification Test

11th January 2021 © Frequentis & US DoD The Frequentis Remote Digital Tower (RDT) system for the DoD has been installed, configured for use, and is currently under assessment. RDT provides military air traffic controllers with an enhanced, digital “out-the-window” view incorporating a wide variety of sensors, digital data feeds, and display augmentation, thus improving situational awareness and safety.  Frequentis is performing Remote Digital Tower activities under an OTA (Other Transaction Agreement) with the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic and in support of the US Air Force, US Navy, and US Marine Corps. This system is the first military remote tower to be deployed within the DoD and will include the full range of Frequentis’ remote digital tower capabilities, including augmentation features such as data tags, bounding boxes, and visual overlays. 17.01.2021 Strabag: The Hungarian subsidiary of European-based construction group Strabag has been awarded a new infrastructure contract in Hungary with a volume of Euro 245.58 mn. The S-D 2020 M6 consortium, consisting of STRABAG Építő Kft. (50.12 %) and Duna Aszfalt Zrt., will complete the 20 km gap of the M6 motorway between Bóly and Ivándárda on the Croatian border. The project is scheduled to be completed within 36 months. “Closing this gap creates a new border crossing with Croatia as part of the Hungarian motorway network. This will significantly reduce the travel time for international passenger and road freight traffic,” says Strabag CEO Thomas Birtel.
