Hi Dale. I hope your recovery is going well and you are enjoying the spring weather. Saw your video on Facebook powerlining which was cool. My friend Chizel got this 13 pound brown yesterday on my boat out of Diversy. It was part of a 6 for 10 outing with 3 browns, 2 Lakers and a coho landed. Lost another sweet brown at the net and a screamer king the straightened out a peanut fly during a 450’ run. Take care -Andy. Ps- I know you like fishing pictures with the city in the background.

Opening day for spring trout season at five Forest Preserves of Cook County sites will be slightly later, mid-week (April 7) instead of Saturday, April 3.

Here is the word on spring trout at the FPCC sites from Carl Vogel, director of communications:
The spring 2021 inland trout season for the Forest Preserves of Cook County will begin Wednesday, April 7, a modification of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources opening day to allow for COVID-19 public health guidelines at the popular Cook County sites.
The Forest Preserves sites that will be open for fishing for rainbow trout are: Axehead Lake (Park Ridge), Belleau Lake (Park Ridge), Sag Quarry East (Lemont), Horsetail Lake (Palos Park) and Green Lake (Calumet City).

The regular season will open April 3, the early catch-and-release season on March 20.
