Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said labourers are guarantors of national development and prosperity. The minimum wage of workers in Punjab has been fixed at Rs20,000 per month.
Provincial Minister for Excise Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmed and Provincial Minister for Sports Taimur Bhatti called on the governor to discuss political and government issues as well as the overall situation in the province.
Sarwar said, “The negative politics of the opposition has always failed and will continue to face the same fate. Those who wish for elections before 2023 will be disappointed.”

LAHORE: The Punjab Cabinet Committee on Law and Order has directed the law enforcement agencies to devise a foolproof security plan for the touring South African cricket team during its stay in Lahore, while ensuring it does not affect the traffic flow in the city.
The committee meeting presided over by law minister Basharat Raja was attended by provincial ministers retired Col Hashim Dogar, Ansar Majeed Khan and Taimur Bhatti, besides additional chief secretary (Home), capital city police officer, deputy inspector general (operations), deputy commissioner, Rescue1122 director general and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials.
Earlier, in a briefing to the cabinet committee, it was informed that control rooms of police, local government,police’s special branch and a temporary medical aid centre would be set up at the Punjab Hockey Stadium.

According to a PCB press release, domestic competition rules allow one foreign player per side as long as the player submits a Non-Objective Certificate from his home board.
