Randolph Parry Architects, P.C. and eight owners of multifamily properties designed by the architectural firm. The lawsuit alleges that the defendants violated the Fair Housing Act (FHA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by failing to design and construct housing units and related facilities to make them accessible to people with disabilities. “The Fair Housing Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act have been the law for more than a quarter century, and there is no excuse for owners and architects to continue developing properties that fail to comply with the accessibility requirements of these statutes,” said Assistant Attorney General Eric Dreiband of the Civil Rights Division.

Church Hill Village, on The Boulevard in Newtown, is one of 15 properties named in the suit. The complaint, filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, names J. Randolph Parry Architects, P.C. and eight owners of the properties as defendants. The lawsuit alleges the firm and owners violated the Fair Housing and Americans with Disabilities acts through the design of the properties.
