The Board of Trustees of Northern Chautauqua Catholic School announces its 2021 Angel Campaign, the school’s annual year-long drive for donations that continues to grow each year, thanks to the generosity of the surrounding community.
This spring marks an important milestone for NCCS, said Principal Andrew Ludwig. “With the help of our extremely generous benefactors and through the determined efforts of our teachers, faculty, staff, parents, students and trustees, Northern Chautauqua Catholic School has been in session for every day, face-to-face instruction, for a school filled with children since Sept. 8, 2020,” said Ludwig. “In spite of pandemic restrictions, we have had a wonderful school year.”
Jan 07 2021 The Mission to Seafarers announced the launch of a new fundraising campaign to sustain the crew welfare support currently being provided around the world at a time when it is most needed and as the COVID-19 pandemic continues. The Mission will unveil a rolling programme of initiatives which will have significant benefits for the welfare of the entire industry from welfare training for seafarers and frontline staff to new family support network offerings, reassurance and practical help. The programme has already received a generous donation from MSC to start the Sustaining Crew Welfare Campaign which will ensure the Mission is providing the best care possible, encouraging innovation in adapting and maintaining services to meet seafarers’ needs, and providing mental wellbeing support.

UK – WORLDWIDE – The Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) was first in the queue to get the ball rolling in the latest fundraising drive from the Mission to Seafarers which aims to provide a Crew Welfare sustainability programme to ensure that support continues for seafarers as the trials of pandemic continue.
Over the past months the situation for many crews, both aboard and ashore, has worsened and the problems are manifold, not least the state of the mental health for both seafarers and their loved ones. Money worries, depression and loneliness are all magnified by the crisis which has seen families separated for many months.
