Shop owners Nick and Rebecca Powell, of Hartshill, were delighted to welcome the first people today.
Nick, 33, said: I ran the business alongside my father-in-law for 12 years, and then I took over about two years ago. It felt like the next stage in growing the business. We ve been here for so long, and we know that something like this would be really convenient for our customers.
The new Post Office is located inside Select Convenience on Hartshill Road We ve got a lot of regulars and we re right by the hospital, so we get a lot of people popping in. Some people come in every day for their essentials, their bread and milk, so it s good for them that if they need Post Office services, they can do that at the same time.
