Bauchi, Kano, Niger, three other register 1,786 suspected cholera cases Alao Abiodun

Bauchi, Kano, Niger, Zamfara, Kaduna and Plateau – reported 1,786 suspected cases of cholera between June 20 and June 26, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), confirmed Cholera.
Bauchi reported 1,239 cases; followed by Kano with 362 cases and Niger, 62 cases.
Kaduna was fourth with 59 cases, and was trailed by Zamfara State with 55 cases and Plateau, nine cases.
Director-General of the NCDC , Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that in the preceding week of June 13 to June 19, five states, Bauchi, Kano, Kaduna, Plateau and Zamfara reported 1,757 suspected cases.
