The Canadian Grain Commission has suspended the licences of grain company W.A. Grain & Pulse Solutions, effective April 20.
As the Western Producer reports, the licence suspensions are in effect until 11:59 p.m. CDT on April 30 and apply to the company’s primary elevators in Pambrun, Sask,. Ponteix, Sask., Vanguard, Sask., Bashaw, Alta., and Bowden, Alta.
Any farmers who are owed money by the company for grain deliveries are being asked to contact the Grain Commission immediately. The company has been prohibited by the Grain Commission from selling stocks in store, accepting deliveries and contracting new grain sales. You can find the full Grain Commission notice here.

Lincoln County Historical Association (LCHA) works with local schools, including home schools, to advance the historical heritage of Lincoln County and Maine. In this effort, the organization’s education director has developed two booklets that provide educators and their students with an overview of historical data in an interdisciplinary manner. The books are entitled “Settlement during the War Years – 17th & 18th Century Challenges in MidCoast Maine,” and “The 1800s – A Century of Highs and Lows.”
