If there s one thing that New Yorkers love it s cheese. Today is National Cheese Lover s Day. Can you guess New York s favorite cheese? I guess today, January 20, is National Cheese Lover s Day (that s gouda news for all of cheese fans). Naturally, that means someone took some data, plugged in some number somewhere and figured out what each state s favorite cheese is. Actually, to be exact, the people at Zippia used Google Trends and examined just under 20 popular kinds of cheese. The results?
Iowa s favorite cheese is.
VELVEETA. Which is actually
not a real cheese. Just saying.
Outside of Iowa, Queso Blanco appears to be top dog as it s enjoyed by 8 different states, which is more than the other cheeses in the study. Cream cheese is next with six states picking it. Swiss cheese took top prize in four states and our choice, Velveeta, was #1 in four states. Brie, Cotija and American also scored some top spots in the study.

File this under the most random study ever. A new study by Zippia reveals each state s favorite cheese. Yes, each state s favorite cheese.
The study was done in honor of National Cheese Lover s Day, which went down on Wednesday (January 20th). I am personally upset that I did not know about this ahead of time so I could celebrate accordingly.
Anyway, the study revealed the most loved cheese in every state and according to the findings, it looks like Minnesota and Wisconsin have something in common. Both states prefer swiss cheese over all the others!

CENTRAL POINT, Ore. Cheddar cheese is being used to spread the love at a popular creamery in CP.
The Rogue Creamery has been in business nearly 90 years and is known globally for it’s award winning ‘Rogue River Blue’ cheese.
The creamery is focusing on helping the community following the Almeda Fire, in partnership with ACCESS and Rogue Food Unites. It’s been working with the non-profits since the pandemic began and it’s been donating around 1,000 pounds of cheese every other week.
It’s new campaign, Cheese is Love Cheddar, aims to keep up with this need.
“This is our way of using cheese as a force of good to make a contribution to those families in need,” said president of Rogue Creamery, David Gremmels.
