There has been mixed reaction to the Department of Education’s scrapping of the June Grade 12 exams. Minister Angie Motshekga justified the decision by saying the department wanted to give pupils time to cover the curriculum.
“We must learn to live with the pandemic because if we do not we will not have an education system in the country,” said Matakanye Matakanye of the National Association of School Governing Bodies.
