Lisa Egeli gives a narrated plein air painting demonstration of Chesapeake Bay’s historic shoreline.  We are thrilled to announce that the artist has generously agreed to auction the resulting 9″ x 12″ painting, created before your very eyes, with proceeds to benefit the National Maritime Historical Society.  Bid high and bid often on this one-of-a-kind piece at the Lisa Egeli Plein Air Painting Auction.  (The auction ends one day after the seminar, on Thursday, 24 June 2021 at 6 pm ET!) Raised in a renovated farmhouse along the St. Mary’s River in southern Maryland, third-generation artist Lisa Egeli began painting the world around her at a young age.  Today, her land and seascapes portray the uniqueness of a place in a moment of time, capturing the light and its seemingly magical effects on the scene. Edward B Calhoun

Chambersburg Edward B. Calhoun, 95, of Chambersburg, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021, at SpiriTrust Lutheran Home, Chambersburg. He was born on Jan. 27, 1925, in Mineral Ridge, Ohio, a son of the late William B. and Ethel M. (Richards) Calhoun. He was united in marriage to Vera (Gummo) Calhoun; she preceded him in death Nov. 15, 2020. He is survived by siblings: Clifford Calhoun, Everett; Levenia Tilley, Silver Springs, Md.; Lucinda Calhoun, Bedford; and Cleive Calhoun, Ellicott City, Md.; and many loving nieces, nephews and their families; stepchildren and their families. He was preceded in death by siblings, Margaret Buchanan and Clair Calhoun; sisters-in-law, Rita Calhoun and Helen Calhoun; and brothers-in-law, William “Buck” Buchanan and Richard Tilley.
