She started dancing when she was four before attending the Shetland Community School of Ballet.

Briggs is now studying dance and drama at Performing Arts Studio Scotland in Edinburgh.
“I wanted to join NYDCS as it was clear how much ownership and genuine love previous company members had for the company and their time together,” she said.
“There is a clear supportive ethos that encourages creative risk taking and something so exciting about people from all over the country coming together for the sake of moving in new ways and making new art.”
Briggs will now join 11 other dancers to work with Anna Kenrick over the coming months. Sessions will initially take place online and follow Covid guidelines.
