The Annual Labor Day Festival is returning to Ishpeming.
The Upper Peninsula Regional Labor Federation is bringing the event back after last year’s cancellation.
The festival’s theme this year is “unions are essential,” and will feature the usual parade, music, picnic, and other events.
Tony Ghiringhelli, chair of the UPRLF Labor Day Committee said during COVID-19, it was the “workers who pulled together” to keep the country afloat. He added that unions fight for both members and non-members alike.
The parade will begin at 11 a.m. and the park picnic will be from noon to 4 p.m. Contact the UPRLF with questions.
